Monica McCoy

Vice President, Equity Trading

Monica McCoy began her career with Brandt and Associates (January 1981 – 1987) as a runner at the Chicago Board Options Exchange, later becoming their Operations Manager. In 1987, she transitioned to the agricultural floor at U.S.A. Trading where as the Trading Floor Operations Manager she oversaw all activities of the floor traders. 

Ms. McCoy joined Gardner Rich, LLC in 1993 as a VP on the Institutional Equity Desk and is currently the Head Trader. Ms. McCoy’s diverse background includes over 27 years experience in the financial markets. During her tenure, she has functioned as an institutional trader executing transactions for municipalities, investment managers and corporations. Since the firm’s inception, she has been responsible for maintaining client relationships and has been instrumental in expanding the desk’s current capabilities to include capital markets (ie, equity/fixed income underwritings and corporate repurchases).

Ms McCoy attended Columbia College as well as Chicago State University. She has her Series 7 and 55.

   

Gregory Vernon

Vice President, Sales and Trading

Greg Vernon brings over 10 years of institutional experience in the equity and fixed income markets. He comes to Gardner Rich, LLC from Bear, Stearns & Co., where he functioned as an institutional equity and fixed income trader, executing transactions for pension funds, hedge funds, investment managers, municipalities and corporations. Prior to joining Bear, Mr. Vernon was an analyst at Fannie Mae in the Corporate Finance department.

Mr. Vernon graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. He currently holds FINRA Series 7, 63, & 65 licenses.

   

Anthony Armao

Vice President, Global Trading

Anthony Armao began his career with Freimark Blair & Co. and remained there for over 10 years of service concentrating on both developed and emerging markets. He worked his way up to Director of Global Trading responsible for all institutional equity order flow. In addition, Mr. Armao brings trading experience in trading Options, Futures, and FX.

Mr. Armao brings his global trading experience to Gardner Rich in order to expand the desk’s international execution capabilities to include developed and emerging equity markets.

Mr. Armao graduated from Rutgers College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. He currently holds FINRA Series 7, 63, & 55 licenses.
