Reginald Weaver

Vice President, Equity Sales and Trading

Reginald Weaver recently joined Gardner Rich, LLC to strengthen our equity trading services. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Weaver was a Senior Equity Trader for William Blair where he had an active role in identifying trading tools to enhance trading.  

Mr. Weaver has an extensive industry background, leadership experience and decades in the pension fund arena. His experience makes him a great choice for the company to pursue the tremendous opportunities that exist. He will lead efforts to further build our core business: domestic/international equity and fixed income markets.

Mr. Weaver currently holds Series 7, 55, 63, 65 FINRA licenses.

   

Emanuel Wilkes Jr.

Vice President, Global Equity Trading, Capital Markets

Emanuel Wilkes Jr. joined Gardner Rich, LLC. in October 2007 in Institutional sales and trading. Mr. Wilkes’s diverse background includes approximately 10 years of experience in the financial markets. During that tenure, he has functioned as an institutional equity and fixed income trader executing transactions for municipalities, investment managers and corporations.

Mr. Wilkes transitioned to Institutional Sales & Trading in 2004 when he joined Jackson Securities. There, he began his career as an associate, during which time he assisted in the growth of both the fixed income and equity trading desks. He oversaw the conversion of the equity desk from manual to electronic trading and transitioned it from general equity trading to corporate repurchases where he managed corporate repurchase programs for companies such as Chevron, The Coca Cola Company, and ChoicePoint.

Beginning in November, Emanuel will transition into a new role as an International trader. In that role, he will be responsible for client service and coverage of the following international markets: Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Mr. Wilkes heads Gardner Rich’s capital market efforts as the firm continues to expand its footprint in this space. Most recent transactions in which he was involved include: (1) Visa IPO and (2) Wells Fargo Secondary.

Mr. Wilkes graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University and an MBA in Finance with specializations in Portfolio Management and Capital Markets from Clark Atlanta University. Mr. Wilkes graduated at the top of his MBA class and as a result of his academic performance was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society. Currently, he is pursuing his CFA designation. He has his Series 7, 63, 55, and 24.

   

Monica McCoy

Vice President, Equity Trading

Monica McCoy began her career with Brandt and Associates (January 1981 – 1987) as a runner at the Chicago Board Options Exchange, later becoming their Operations Manager. In 1987, she transitioned to the agricultural floor at U.S.A. Trading where as the Trading Floor Operations Manager she oversaw all activities of the floor traders. 

Ms. McCoy joined Gardner Rich, LLC in 1993 as a VP on the Institutional Equity Desk and is currently the Head Trader. Ms. McCoy’s diverse background includes over 27 years experience in the financial markets. During her tenure, she has functioned as an institutional trader executing transactions for municipalities, investment managers and corporations. Since the firm’s inception, she has been responsible for maintaining client relationships and has been instrumental in expanding the desk’s current capabilities to include capital markets (ie, equity/fixed income underwritings and corporate repurchases).

Ms McCoy attended Columbia College as well as Chicago State University.  She has her Series 7 and 55.

   

Stephanie Wansley

Vice President, Global Equity Trading

Ms. Wansley joined Gardner Rich in April 1994 as an intern. Her tenure at Gardner Rich has shown a steady progression of increasing responsibility combined with exemplary performance. From August 2005 to August 2007, Ms. Wansley served as a Officer/Securities Technician at Northern Trust Securities Inc, Settlement Services Group where she oversaw settlement of International Equity and International Fixed Income, Daily Program Trades, DWACs (for corporate repurchases), DRSs, and Options. In August 2007, Ms. Wansley returned to Gardner Rich at Mr. Gardner’s request to take over their operations department.

As Operations manager, Stephanie ensured timely settlement of Equities (both Domestic and International), initial public offerings and secondary market transactions. She also oversaw Fixed Income settlement for Municipal issues, Agency transactions, and cash settlement trades.

In true progressive fashion, Stephanie then transitioned to domestic equity trading where she was responsible for domestic equity execution for various accounts. Stephanie has also been spearheading Gardner Rich’s efforts to expand our trading capabilities into the International markets. Beginning in November, Ms. Wansley will transition into a new role as an International trader. In that role, she will be responsible for client service and coverage of the following international markets: Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Ms. Wansley also assists in Gardner Rich’s capital market endeavors as the firm continues to expand its footprint in this space. Most recent transactions in which she was involved include: (1) Visa IPO and (2) Wells Fargo Secondary.

Ms. Wansley received her Associate of Arts degree in Finance and Business Management. She also holds her Series 7 and 63 licenses.
